We Bid You a Fond Fairwell, Mojo HD!

Yesterday, December 1st, was a very bitter sweet day for me.  All day I was psyched about getting my brand new 47″ HD TV (a full inch bigger than fellow average dude Scott’s TV).  It was like Christmas day a full 25 days ahead of schedule only to be sorely let down.  I went to turn on my favorite HD channel Mojo only to find a crappy Christmas movie.  I hit info on the guide to see my beloved channel was now Hallmark Movie Channel.  I flipped out and went straight to the internet.

I quickly found out that the entire channel was pulled off air.  It turns out the channel was a collected venture by most of the major cable companies to provide as much HD content on their lineup.  Since more and more HD channels are popping up, they felt they no longer had to fill that void.  So people like me that became a loyal fan of just about every show they had is screwed.

I understand that a lot of their programming wasn’t emmy award winning, and I will get over most of it.  The one show that will be tough to swallow will be Three Sheets.  Three Sheets was hands down my favorite travel show on television, because not only did you see all the parts of the world but it was centered around my favorite hobbies, drinking!  I learned a great deal from this show and was extremely psyched for its upcoming 4th season which is now in limbo.

The only good news to come out of this whole thing is that Three Sheets still has a shot of a second life.  They are in serious talks with other networks to air the 4th season.  If you care as much as I do, go here, and write a couple of letters and try to save this great show.  If you have no idea what I’ve been talking about this entire post then go here and watch the show and you’ll soon feel the same as me.
