Yet Another Bad Idea: 3D Porn

Monday, January 26th, 2009

As if the jump to high definition weren’t bad enough (because sometimes you don’t want that much detail), some people in Hong Kong are throwing $4 million at the first 3-dimensional porno flick called “3D Sex and Zen.”

First of all, $4 million is a freakin’ lot of money for any porno movie..but they also say that only 25-30% of it will be sex scenes. Sounds like a blockbuster!

The Unborn Movie Poster

Wednesday, December 17th, 2008

There’s a new supernatural thriller coming out in January called The Unborn. I didn’t really know much about the film, but now that they’ve released this poster…I still have no clue what it’s about. I do know that Odette Yustman from Cloverfield is in it….and apparently she’ll be…uh… standing around nice bathrooms in her underwear staring at reflections of dead kids in the mirror? Spooooooky.

Seriously, you know a movie is going to suck ass when the only way they can sell tickets is to plaster a chicks butt on the poster. Plus it’s PG-13. LAME! When I see an ass and the words “The Unborn”…call me crazy but my mind races to poop. Am I right?

“I Can’t Think Straight” is the Perfect Excuse for a Dudes’ Night Out

Friday, October 24th, 2008

I won’t even bother trying to explain this film. Here’s the description according to Cinematical:

…the film tells of a secret passionate love affair between two women from very diverse backgrounds and their struggle to come to terms with their true feelings for one another before it all gets in the way of the rest of their lives.

Just make sure you leave a few empty seats between you and your buds in the theater. Follow the link below to see (surprisingly light-hearted) the trailer.

On the Doll Clip Will Make You Whimper

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

This video, a clip from the upcoming horror movie On the Doll, has been making its way across the internet, scaring the bejeezus out of dudes everywhere. I’ll admit, I was quite turned off to the movie after seeing this, but once I read the synopsis of the film, I feel like this scene might evoke a cheer from the audience rather than a sob. The clip has Prom Night star Brittany Snow literally busing some dude’s balls. You’ve been warned. Check out the video and the synopsis after the jump. (more…)

Funniest Movie You’ve Never Seen?

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

The Foot Fist Way

Fellow average dude, Scott, passed this video along to me last week and at first I really didn’t know what to think about it.  I had to read the title twice because it didn’t really make sense. This movie is not a new comer to the block.  It was debuted in 2006 at the Sundance Film Festival and really didn’t hit it off.  However, Mr. Will Ferrell has taken to it and claims it to be the “best comedy ever”.  That’s really all the movie need and has now gotten a fair amount of internet buzz.  If you’ve seen this flick give a shout about it in the comments.  I hope to see it soon

I was just shown the trailer for Will Smith’s upcoming movie, Hancock. This is already my favorite movie of this year and it could very well rank among my favorite ever just based on the few minutes I’ve seen. Now that I’ve built it up immensely, go watch the trailer.

Thanks Louis.

Review – I Am Legend

Friday, December 28th, 2007

I Am LegendIt’s rare that a movie can completely surprise me nowadays. Trailers usually give so much of a movie away that by the time you’ve finally watched it, you feel like you had already seen it once before. That was not the case for me when I saw I Am Legend. I went into it completely unaware of the plot and I think it helped me enjoy the movie a lot more than if I knew exactly what to expect. (more…)

Review – Sweeney Todd

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

Sweeney ToddThe holidays are upon us and what is better than sitting down and watching your favorite classic movie like A Christmas Story, Scrooge, or how about a throat slashing musical? Uh, yeah. Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are at it again. Another dark depressing movie set to a classical tune and song, Sweeney Todd is a depressing tale of a barber that was thrown in jail on false charges for 15 years. His wife and infant child were taken from him. Upon his return to London, he meets a girl (Helena Bonham Carter) that runs a meat pie bakery that helps him set his revenge on the man that set him up.
