Useless Talents

This is almost as unbelievable as Charlie knowing how to tap out “Good Vibrations” on some random post WW2 keypad on LOST.

People have way to much time on their hands….get a job hippie.

Lost Returns, Are You Ready?

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

Just in case you haven’t been paying attention, the almighty Lost returns with an all-new episode tonight. All-new…why do they use that term? As if they’ll stick a few scenes in it from a previous episode so that it’s only “sorta-new”? Mostly-new?

Anyways, an entirely-totally-all-new episode of Lost is on tonight at 10/9 central on ABC. This is absolutely the greatest show in the history of television, and if you disagree then you suck.

Pay attention to it. I’ll expect a full report tomorrow morning. If you don’t watch it, you’ll upset Kate. You don’t want to upset Kate, do you?

Lost - Progression of Walt

Tuesday, March 11th, 2008

LostWarning: minor spoilers if you haven’t been keeping up with Lost.

If you’re a fan of Lost, then you know who Walt is. For those who aren’t fans, Walt is the son of one of the characters and has mysterious psychic abilities. The actor, Malcolm David Kelley, was roughly 12 years old when the series started in 2004. As most children tend to do over time, Malcolm started to grow up.

Much of season 2’s story consisted of Walt’s father, Michael, searching for him after he was kidnapped so Walt wasn’t in much of it. Then at the end of season 3, Walt appears to one of the characters despite having “left” the island at the end of season 2. Now, let’s consider the time lines at play here. the castaways have been stranded on the island for around 4 months. In non-TV time, it has been about 3 years. You can imagine what a difference 3 years can make when you’re dealing with a pubescent teen actor. Needless to say, when he appeared at the end of season 3, he had grown about a foot and had a voice like Barry White.

We’ve come across some shocking evidence of what the future holds for the character of Walt. In recent episodes, the writers have introduced a time-travel element that has yet to be fully explained. As such, we feel that this illustration effectively…illustrates…what Walt will look like in season 5. (more…)

Lost - Holy Crap

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Evangeline Lilly 5If you don’t watch Lost, then shame on you. Last night’s episode was an absolute mind-blower. This has quite possibly been one of the best seasons of any show on television ever so far. Actually, I’ll come right out and say it: Lost is the greatest show in history. Bar none. Take that, Cheers.

When Will Your Favorite Shows Return?

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Lost TitleWith the Writers Strike pretty much at an end, the question on most peoples’ minds is, “When the hell can I have TV again?!” The New York Times has a pretty comprehensive list of shows and how they’ll be affected in the long run. Most notably, Lost will finish its season with 13 episodes instead of the 16 they originally wanted. Executive Producer Carlton Cuse says the writers will, “accelerate the storytelling” so that they’ll still hit the ending they wanted for the season.

“It’s a little bit like driving cross country to Boston. If the goal is to get there two days earlier, we will have to take more interstates and fewer rural byways.”

Also, 24 probably won’t be back until early 2009. Sorry Jack Bauer fans.

Cloverfield: It Might Just Rock Your Socks Off

Cloverfield

If there’s one movie to watch out for in the coming months, it has to be Cloverfield. Produced by J.J. Abrams (producer of the Lost tv extravaganza), this movie’s got a lot of hype surrounding it. Of course, that’s dangerous for any film because rarely can anything exceed these kinds of expectations. Check out the trailer on Apple’s website and keep an eye out for it. It’s expected to drop on January 18th.

WGA Strike - What the F%*k!

TV is heading down a dark and ugly road and there is nothing we can do about it. That’s right, all of the shows you may have gotten into this season, like The Office and Heroes, and shows you were looking forward to, like 24 and Lost, may come to a screeching halt this January. The WGA is on strike. The Writers Guild of America is pissed off right now. What could drive such anger? …Money. (more…)
