Once you’re at the ballot, fill in your email address and the password they gave you. Then start voting! Make sure you fill in “average-dudes.com” for best local blog and best local web site. You have to fill out at least 5 slots, so while you’re at it, fill in “megaphone” (that’s my band) for best Rock/Pop Act and Best Whatever. Megaphone won best rock/pop act last year, so help us keep our crown! You can also fill in “The Matador” (awesome bar in Orlando) for best local pub. You may have noticed recently that there haven’t been a whole lot of posts here, and most of them end up being our Birthday Girls posts. I just want to let you all know that Average Dudes is not going anywhere. Life has just become ridiculously busy lately and we haven’t been able to really sit down and come up with awesome original stuff like we have in the past. Hopefully soon things will settle down a bit and we’ll be back to updating you with the best useless crap our minds can….crap out. Gross. Sorry.

We know you’re probably pretty busy. Just in case you missed what happened last week, here’s a brief recap:

• We’ve started our very own organization called the “National Association of Dudes Who Don’t Want to Hear About Gross Feminine Stuff on TV,” or the NADWDWHAGFSTV for short. (note that we recently changed it to “Association” from “Group”)

• Brett Favre retired from the NFL and I shed a couple of tears.

• The Hilton virus managed to infect Earl.

• Everyone thought Patrick Swayze had only weeks left to live. Turns out he does have cancer, but the National Enquirer blew it out of proportion.

• We’re giving away free stuff from Shipyard Brewery! Enter the damn contest!

• Elizabeth Hurley decided to leave the film industry…and no one seemed to notice.

I just wanted to let our loyal readers know that Dyna and I are both incapacitated this weekend. We’re both taking some time to show our girlfriends that we care (read: keep them from dumping us). I’m at Disney and he’s on a cruise so we may be out of touch for a bit. While you’re here, leave us some comments and let us know what you ended up doing for Valentine’s Day. We’ll make fun of you when we return.

So obviously it’s just about Christmas time. For those of you who don’t celebrate Christmas, it’s kind of like a birthday but not quite as cool because you have to give presents too. As such, we’ll probably be a little out of touch until the mayhem settles down. Fear not though, dear reader. We’ll keep you updated with all the awesome crap we receive as gifts, and if we’re lucky, we might get some stuff worth reviewing.

We here at Average Dudes are gigantic Apple fans. We also happen to be dudes. As such, combining attractive girls and Apple products is pretty close to utopia for us. That’s why we look forward to Macenstein’s “Mac Chick of the Month.”
