Many Americans probably don’t know that we dodged a huge civil liberties bullet on Monday; at least for now. Connecticut senator and presidential candidate Chris Dodd threatened filibuster on a proposed bill that included giving immunity to telecommunication companies like AT&T and Verizon for helping the government spy on Americans.
