No, the name of the app is not “Natural Selection,” but it would probably be appropriate. While counting cards in Vegas is not necessarily illegal, it’s certainly frowned upon. Using a device to do so, however, is a felony and will probably get you roughed up by a 350 pound bouncer named Tiny. That’s why anyone who is stupid enough to try to use an iPhone application to count cards at a Vegas casino is simply allowing mother nature to cleanse herself of weaker-minded creatures.

Let’s face it, it’s damn cold outside. Even here in Orlando, the low tonight will be right around 30 degrees. As a lover of cold weather, sometimes I like to venture out into the frigid air all bundled up. As an iPhone user, however, gloves can be pretty annoying, forcing me to make a choice: freeze my fingers but be able to quickly use my phone, or wear gloves and have to constantly remove them to type an email or answer a call.

You know how Facebook is like a huge web of useless crap? Well some dude created an event for January 14th called “Slap Your Spouse On The Ass Day” and it has 544 confirmed guests. The official rules state that “it can be your spouse, significant other, flame, booty call….it doesn’t matter.” Sounds like a pretty sweet holiday to me.

I’ve always seen Sony as one of the dumbest companies in the world. A lot of the decisions they make with their products are forehead-slappingly stupid (PS3…less functionality for the same price).

Their latest ad campaign hasn’t done much to change my mind either. They tout their new Vaio P laptop as being “pocket-sized”…as illustrated in this photo of a chick trying to wedge the thing into her incredibly tight rear pocket. Bravo, Sony.

Apparently it’s designed for women who constantly need to feel skinny. I guess that’s why there’s a weird rabbit cartoon thing attached to the image(?). Obviously it’s Japanese, so that answers most of your “what in the hell”-type questions.

As Dyna mentioned in a recent post, we love Apple products. Tomorrow is the big keynote at this year’s Macworld conference so you can expect us to be glued to our computer monitors at 12pm EST reading text updates of what’s going on. The sad part about this year’s keynote is that Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO and all-around genius, is not presenting it like he normally does. He’s the guy that helped introduce the iPod, iPhone, and just about every other awesome piece of gear that starts with a lower-case ‘i’, so having someone else present the keynote is like having stand-in parents hand you your gifts on Christmas morning. One of the easiest ways to tell how cool a dude is is to take a look at his TV. If it’s not HD, there’s something seriously wrong. But just because a TV is “HD” doesn’t mean it’s good. There are a lot of things that factor into what makes an HDTV good but all the numbers that get thrown at you can be confusing. Don’t worry, dumbass. We’re here to steer you in the right direction. Someone decided that May 3rd would be a good day for everyone in the world to shut off their computers, televisions, and other gadgets. The idea is for people to get out and socialize with actual breathing human beings or do some kind of outdoor activities. I’d totally be behind this initiative if GTA 4 hadn’t just come out and I didn’t hate people. Apparently even the organizers kept good on their pledge to go offline; their site is down. Oh well…maybe next year.
