This video, a clip from the upcoming horror movie On the Doll, has been making its way across the internet, scaring the bejeezus out of dudes everywhere. I’ll admit, I was quite turned off to the movie after seeing this, but once I read the synopsis of the film, I feel like this scene might evoke a cheer from the audience rather than a sob. Pop quiz. You’re art director on a project. Your mission: sell DVD box sets of a resurrected 1970s sci-fi show to as many nerdy dudes as you possibly can. What do you do? Why, stick a hot blonde with crazy cleavage on the cover of every set of course. Duh! Oh, and it doesn’t matter if she’s the sixth billed character on the official web site’s cast list.

I know, I know. She’s probably some major character or something. But still…according to these covers, her boobs play as big a part as she does.

Would you believe me if I told you this is considered fashion? What if I told you it was created by a Japanese designer? It all makes sense now, doesn’t it? And yes, that’s a human being under there. It kind of looks like she could snip one of the strings and sail away like a schooner.

Perhaps this is a little short-sighted (ha) of me, but isn’t the placement of braille on some signs kind of ridiculous? Take this picture for example. This sign is located in the stairwell on the fourth floor of the garage that I park in for work. Now the only scenarios I can imagine where a blind person would feel this sign is if he/she is wandering up the stairs, desperately feeling the walls for some sign as to where the hell they are, or they’ve been guided to it by someone who can see where it is.

Hopefully they’re not wandering through the parking garage because that would mean they’re trying to find a car, which would mean they drove there, which is just bad for everyone. The second scenario raises the question, if they’re being guided, can’t the guide just tell them what the sign says? Discuss..
