Feel Like a Nerd AND Smell Like Mountain Dew

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Just in case soaping yourself with NES controllers wasn’t enough to satiate your nerd hunger, these bars of soap are also Mountain Dew scented. They were $34 for 4 bars but it appears as though they’ve sold out.

We’re Not Dead!

Sunday, May 10th, 2009

I know you were all worried that we were dead and gone. Or maybe you weren’t. Anyways, this is just a brief note to let you know that all is well. We’ve just been really really busy. Hopefully we’ll be able to get back to work soon.

Star Trek Cologne – Smell Like a Nerd from 1966

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

You’d have to be one hell of a geek to drop $30-$40 on a bottle of Star Trek-branded fragrance. I guess with the new movie coming out this year, the marketers are out in force trying to get the brand in your face. But seriously…cologne? I guess Captain Kirk had to smell pretty good when he was seducing green women. If it’s good enough for Bill Shatner, count me in.

Back in the Game!

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

Wow, our last post was 6 days ago. I sincerely apologize for the lapse in postage (postage?) but my MacBook pooped on me and I had to have it fixed. Note to anyone contemplating buying a Mac: GET APPLECARE! This is the second time I’ve had the logic board replaced and it hasn’t cost me a cent, let alone all the other minor repairs I’ve had done.

Ok enough Apple pitching. Here’s a photo of Angelina Jolie as a token of my apology. Hope you’re doing well. Hugs.

Dude…

Sunday, October 12th, 2008

What’s up, dudes? Scott, checking in. Just got back from watching some football at Buffalo Wild Wings. There haven’t been very many posts as of late, so I just wanted to get on here and say “WTF?!” for everyone. I’ve been working on some stuff, but life has gotten in the way. For now, I want some discussion going on. Nothing lame like “who are you voting for” or crap like that.

Here’s one. Who would win in a Jello wrestling match: Angelina Jolie or Megan Fox?

Discuss…

iStock Photo is Quite Morbid

Tuesday, September 30th, 2008

During my daily work travels, I needed to head on over to good ole iStockPhotos.com.  I was surprised to see this image waiting for me.  This is hands down one of the most creative and morbid 503 error pages I’ve ever come across.  I’m not sure what type of sick twisted humor they have over there but I like it.  Good work iStock people.  I’ll continue to purchase your resonably priced photos.

Daddy’s Little Girl

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

Nothing beats the quality time you can spend with your loved ones.  It has been proven over time, that a dad and his daughter always build a special bond.  There are all of those special times that will happen over her life time.  The wearing of makeup, the first boys to come to the house, the prom dresses, the graduations, wedding day, and ……. breaking down and re-building “with function check” an AR-15 machine gun in only 53 seconds.  Whooo ha!

The Best Graduation Speech, Ever.

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

Patton Oswalt is a comedian.  A fairly funny one as well.  But apparently he gives really really good graduation speeches. I can’t think of any other man I’d want to mold the minds of today’s high school graduates.  Enjoy the read.  I did.

First off, I want to thank the teachers and faculty of Broad Run High School for first considering and then inviting me to speak here.   It was flattering, I am touched and humbled, and you have made a grave mistake.

I’m being paid for this, right?   Oh, wait, there’s some advice, right off the bat – always get paid.   If you make enough money in this world you can smoke pot all day and have people killed.

I’m sorry, that was irresponsible.

You shouldn’t have people killed. (more…)

iPhone Apps Rule!

Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

I’m writing this post on the newly released iPhone wordpress application. Other than the annoying clicks of the iPhone keyboard, this is awesome. Consider this the Average Dudes’ seal of approval.

Paparazzi at It Again

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

Paparazzi  are awful people.  These poor celebrities just try to enjoy their lives and they always get intruded at the worst times.  My heart really goes out to them.  Here’s a particular case where Jim Carrey and his lovely girl friend, Jenny McCarthy, are just trying to enjoy a relaxing stroll down the beach….in their tight black number.
